Spliced ropes for mooring
The choice of a good assortment of boat ropes is essential, not only for perfect navigation control (sailing boat), but also for a safe and durable mooring. The mooring ropes, present in our nautical accessories shop, are branded Marlow or Osculati, we offer nautical ropes in different formats of material, composition and length, it will be necessary to choose the rope based on the use, the length of the boat and the load that it will have to support, we generally recommend having 2 lines as long as the boat and another 2 twice as long. The three-strand rope is generally the most used because it is very resistant to abrasion and traction, it will remain very elastic and flexible over time. It is possible to create spliced eyelets with these mooring lines. In our catalog there are nautical nylon ropes, very elastic but not particularly long-lasting; polypropylene or polyester tops, resilient and easy to handle. We always suggest to shelter the boat lines from the sun when not in use, and wash them often with fresh water, eliminating the salt that will settle between the wood, in order to avoid corrosion of these important boat accessories. We recommend that you be careful for those tops that are particularly subject to abrasions, you can buy top protective coatings in plastic or wool materials to protect some sections of your buds from rubbing.
