Principle of operation
An oil bath variable pitch spring receives and releases the main piston based on the load. A valve system at the head of the piston regulates the viscous resistance in the outward and return directions, favoring the return of the spring and attenuating the loads that the wave motion gives to our hull.
The result is an unprecedented ability to reduce oscillations.
The innovative construction
Interly in top quality stainless steel and hard oxide anodized aluminum, each Seares model has passed a salt spray simulation test for 10 years. To prevent electrolytic corrosion, the contact parts between different metals are treated with special insulators. The shock absorbers of the Evo series also have a sacrificial anode inside them. Seares offers a 3 year guarantee on these products.
There is no safer berth!
Due to the construction characteristics, it is not possible to lose the connection to the mooring. In the remote possibility that the main spring is shortened (3 years warranty), a second shock absorber guarantees basic functionality. Should the damage occur, we will immediately notice that the piston works at a reduced stroke, but don't worry, the Seadamp Evo shock absorbers can be serviced directly by Seares and will return as efficient as just purchased.
